Wildworks
In April 2009 I worked with acclaimed theatre company Wildworks and a group of North East based artists to deliver their community workshop programme. I spent 2 weeks in Western Primary in Wallsend exploring the town, its histories and collecting stories with 70 pupils from the school. The project culminated in a tea party in Wallsend Memorial Hall where the local community was invited to come along and explore the pupil’s artworks and collected stories.

The workshops formed part of Wildworks’ outreach and research programme for ‘The Beautiful Journey’, a promenade performance on an old Newcastle shipyard, featuring stunning visual imagery, water, film, fire, ice, music and audience participation.
